AX WOOHOO

Tue Jun 30, 2009, 11:52 PM
  • Mood: Lazy
  • Listening to: The Irish Tenors. I'm such a dork.
  • Watching: Star Wars on Spike. Lolz.
  • Drinking: Sun Tea! It's the only thing keeping me awake!
Oh manz. I am finally done sewing for the next few days. Long story short, I just whipped up two entire sailor uniforms for my sister and I, finished my Miso 2.0 cosplay, discovered the wonders of spray starch, and am totally exhausted. AX here I come!

Long Story (with interludes by the ghost of Billy Mays):

HI!!! BILLY MAYS HERE WITH ANOTHER FAAAN-TASSSS-TICK NEW UPDATE!!!
First off, I'm sorry for ignoring everyone lately, and for missing the An Cafe concert. Mudd chewed me up and spit me out just in time for summer vacation, and it took me a month or so to get over that, to the point where I could have a conversation without exploding at anyone. I've been sewing like mad, and I have two super cute cosplays for AX.
One is a remake of my Miso cosplay from last year. I sacked the baggy dress and made it into a better fitting skirt, and added in a frilly tee-shirt. The skirt is shorter and extra poofy, and my family tells me that I look like I belong in a sci-fi/cheerleader anime, which I guess is reasonable, considering how excited I get in the outfit. The hat, shoes and tights are still the same, since they worked really well last year.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!!111!!!

The second is Kagura from Azumanga Daioh, with the blue summer seifuku. My sister's birthday present is a trip to AX and an outfit, and she wanted to be Chio-chan, so I agreed to twin with her. (Secretly, I've always wanted a seifuku, but don't tell anyone that. I've been running around my house and being excited every time I see a mirror. It's also insanely comfy. I love cotton.) My brother is being Tadakichi-san the dog, which works out pretty well because I only needed to make him a hat and some paws. Reducing my workload is always nice.

AND IF YOU ORDER IN THE NEXT 15 MINUTES, YOU GET THIS STUFF TOOOOOOO!!!!!111!

I'll probably be wearing lolita or my usual bum clothes the rest of the time, taking pictures for the next weeaboo video.

I'm volunteering at AX this summer, because it gets me free pizza and a badge and the chance of a free hotel room. C: I have no idea where I'll be working when, but hopefully I can get a shift at the Moi dix Mois concert. That would be pretty epic.

NO MONEY BACK GUARANTEEEEEE!!!!!

Come find me at AX! Also, my phone is finally working. So I can actually answer it and shiz. KABOOM!:D

Going Back to School D:

Wed Jan 14, 2009, 1:38 PM
  • Mood: Lazy
  • Listening to: The Uncomfortables
  • Watching: I saw Chopped last night. It was decent.
  • Playing: Kotor
  • Eating: Ramen and Cookies
  • Drinking: This fabulous peach herbal tea
And just when I was getting used to staying up until 4 playing Kotor. Mudd comes back to life on tuesday, and I'm enjoying my vacation far too much to go back. At least I've got a "easy" semester coming up. Three math classes, CS, Bio, German, and Scuba. No labs, Stems, or Physics in sight. (THANK YOU O MAGICAL AND HOLY FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER!)

On a tastier note, I just finished making oatmeal-raisin and oatmeal-chocolate-chip cookies. They're soo tasty. And nothing on me hurts. :D

Zomg today was exciting

Bodysurfing is fun. Rock climing is fun.

Bodysurfing down a cliff when you can't climb back down? Not so fun. The free-fall is neat though. I'll have to try it sometime
My arm took most of the damage, and thankfully, I have bones of steel, so nothing's broken. I landed on a very strategically placed tree, so I'm a lot better than I should be right now. But my arm still hurts pretty bad, and my elbow is a funny grey-purple. No dancing for me this weekend. :C

I feel like crap D:

Sat Nov 15, 2008, 4:42 PM
  • Mood: Dazed
  • Reading: The Beginnings of Western Science. Exciting stuff.
  • Watching: Firefly. I'm finally done with Star Trek.
  • Playing: Katamari. Again. :D
  • Eating: Sushi in a bit. Dinner should be tasty tonight.
  • Drinking: Water. I'm dehydrated. D:
Blargh. I think I'm getting sick. Not a great time for this, considering that I don't get to go home for another week and a half. Must fight urge to sleep all weekend.

On the brighter side, I'm making two, full length, heavy, thick, warm, wool jedi robes. :D My fabric came it yesterday, and Nick and I had to carry it out of the mailroom on our shoulders. It was all rolled up like a carpet. xD
I can't wait to finish those. They're going to be so comfy and warm.

END OF INTERESTING STUFF. KEEP READING ONLY IF YOU WANT TO HEAR ABOUT MY RETARDED EARS.

On another fun note, my ears are officially big enough to see through. Pictures coming up soon. I'm considering getting my conches both done. Definitley don't want them right now, though, with the way my head feels.
My nose and lip are both happy (for once! I finally found jewelry that my nose doesn't get angry about), and my ears are mostly okay. One of my lobe piercings is being a bitch, and I can't stretch it again quite yet. The anti-symmetry makes me sad. I might just let that one close up, since it's got a big ugly bump on it. It doesn't match my other ear anyway.

WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN AT BAD TIMES

Tue Oct 28, 2008, 7:46 PM
  • Mood: Grouchy
  • Listening to: The Elvis station on Pandora
  • Reading: Physics Homework
  • Eating: I just had the most fabulous pretzel
LOLOLOL Surprise foot piercing. And it's swollen and gross and I can't walk on it.
*whine whine whine*

I stepped on a sewing needle that was lying around, and it seems to have done really horrible things to my big toe. For instance, my toe now looks like a horribly overfed caterpillar. And I walk like an idiot. And I get to go to the doctor tomorrow. D:

And if this doesn't heal up fast, I can't go trick-or-treating. For the first time ever, I would have to sit around and hand out candy, instead of getting it from other people. This sucks. D:

And if Doc Martens made those panda shoes in my size, this might not have happened. It probably would have, but there's a chance that it might not have. It's still all their fault.
